Happy Earth Day!

On Earth Day, let’s show support for saving Earth by showing love for the oceans. After all, 70 percent of the oxygen we breathe comes from the ocean. Not only that, oceans absorb our excess heat and play an important role in regulating the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, the main gas that causes climate change.

Rob Stewart discovered this when he made his films: Sharkwater, Revolution and Sharkwater Extinction. He shared his wisdom with us, saying, "Most of the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere gets absorbed by the oceans,” adding, “The most important issue in any global warming debate isn't your cars, it's life in the ocean."

We can all help by avoiding buying anything that comes from the ocean, at least for now. The oceans need time to recuperate and thrive, without corporate fishing vessels depleting them. And the only way to stop the overfishing is to stop the demand for fish.

“What if we design Earth to be beautiful for us and for all the species that live here.” ~Rob Stewart

Revolution is an epic, true life adventure following director Rob Stewart in the follow up to his smash hit Sharkwater. Discovering that our own survival as a species is in jeopardy, Rob embarked on a life-threatening adventure through 4 years and 15 countries.

Bringing you some of the most incredible wildlife spectacles ever recorded, audiences are brought face to face with sharks and cuddly lemurs, into the microscopic world of the pygmy seahorse, and on the hunt with the deadly flamboyant cuttlefish. From the coral reefs in Papua New Guinea to the rainforests in Madagascar, Rob reveals that all of our actions are interconnected.

Revolution was the first feature film to platform the devastating effects of Ocean Acidification. Climate change was well known, but scientists were just realizing the effects would be much worse than ever imagined. We were in danger of losing the coral reefs, and potentially the entire ocean ecosystem.

Through it all, Rob’s journey of hope meets activists and individuals all over the world that are winning the battle to save the ecosystems we depend on for survival.

Startling, provocative, with beautiful cinematography, Revolution inspires audiences across the globe to start a revolution and change the world forever.

Rob Stewart Sharkwater Foundation and United Conservationists and the Fin Free movement continue Rob’s mission to save sharks, the oceans, and our world for future generations through Awareness, Advocacy, Research, Social and Public Policy change across the globe.  “We live in an amazing beautiful world. We need to stop fighting each other and work for the world we want.” ~ Rob Stewart
