REVELATION FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR ENTRIES OPENS

REVELATION FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR ENTRIES OPENS

Filmmakers from across the globe are being invited to enter their work for the Revelation Perth International Film Festival in 2018.

Revelation is regarded as one of Australia’s most exciting independent film festivals and will run from 5 - 18 July 2018 in Perth.

Revelation Director Richard Sowada said the search was now on for unique, signature-driven works from filmmakers of all levels.

“Submissions can include narrative features, documentary, short film, animation, experimental work and anything in between,” Richard said.

“The works received during the call for entries really set the barometer for the July program.

“As a curator, it’s not just a fascinating process - it’s also incredibly rewarding to be part of the international creative snapshot the call for entries provides.”

Revelation offers a wholly unique take on the traditional film festival circuit, with critical discussion, creative debate and an open exchange of ideas. Alongside the screening of over 200 films are workshops, networking opportunities and Australia’s only academic conference held in partnership with a film festival.

Founded in 1997, the event has developed into an internationally renowned film festival, screening stand-out works and giving a platform for distinctive approaches to production, distribution and exhibition.

2018 marks Revelation’s twenty first anniversary.

Entries for the Revelation Perth International Film Festival close on 13 April 2018.

Revelation offers online entry options and further details and entry forms can be found at: http://www.revelationfilmfest.org/call-for-entries

Revelation is proudly supported by the Australian and West Australian governments through Screenwest and Screen Australia.
