Open enrolment for the thirteenth edition of the contest dedicated to the location.

The thirteenth edition of the Ischia Film Festival will take place from June 27 to July 4, 2015, an international competition devoted to film locations. The entry form for the registration of feature films, documentaries and short films, edition 2015 is published on the festival website. 

All the works that have enhanced the area through the choice of locations can participate to the Festival, promoting the social and historical reality of human traditions and culture.

The deadline for submission of works is set at April 10, 2015.

Last festival edition has seen the selection of 107 works from over 30 countries, including seven world premieres and 28 national premieres. A year enriched by meetings and the great masters of cinema as the Oscar-winning director Bille August, israeli director Amos Gitai, the great documentary filmmaker Cecilia Mangini and President of the edition, the director Pupi Avati. Countless meetings with important names of Italian cinema, which Fabio Mollo, Nello Mascia, Mattia Sbragia, Davide Ferrario, Alessandro Rossetto, Edward Winspeare Angelo Longoni but also of great foreign authors such as Matti Ijäs and Wu Qing besides many prestigious filmmakers , documentaries and short films in the selection. 

The festival does not assign prize money but all of the selected authors will be entitled to one night's hotel accommodation in Ischia (the night in which their work will be shown.) For authors from abroad hotel hospitality will be extended to two nights.

The Festival will appoint a panel of experts to award the prize "Ischia Film" at documentary and short film work and to the works that have increased more locations as well as the best work of "Location Denied". The Jury reserves the right to grant, among the films in competition, awards and special mentions. 

The Festival according to the honor committee and the steering committee of the Festival, will assign the following awards:

Award "Ischia Film" to the feature that has most enhanced the location.

Prize "Castello Aragonese" At best director

Award "Aenaria" At best art

Award "Epomeo" To the best director of photography

Three short films and documentaries in competition will then be awarded the following prizes:

Special prize Augustus Color: service development and telecinema for mt. 2000 S16mm or negative for mt. 5,000 of 35mm negative (corresponding to a value of €. 1,500.00). In the case in which the locations are carried out in digital, will be performed in tribute all machining operations required by the customer up to a value of €. 1,500.00.

Special Award AncheCinema for short films (maximum 15 min.) Which will be recognized and awarded by management of the Festival winner, in case of acceptance of the said winner and comprising a distribution agreement with Anchecinema Ltd. Bari.
