QuantumConvex International proudly announces the first edition of INAMOVIE (Indonesia International Movie Industry Expo). – a benchmark Indonesian film industry event to be held in Jakarta and Bali (edition 2014) in Southeast Asia, September 25th-27th 2013 at the Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place. The first edition focus will be on France as Guest Country and will include the world’s leading film festivals held in France annually and include The Cannes Film Festival, Annecy the leading international animation festival and Clermond-Ferrand the number one short film festival.

An international delegation and some keynote speakers will share their knowledge about the film industry, international co-production, festival strategy, marketing best practices, programming and knowledge with INAMOVIE audience and participants.

INAMOVIE is targeting a including creative, development, production, post-production, distribution, marketing and education. Positioning itself to become in the short term the largest film market and conference in South East Asia quickly gaining broad support from Indonesian and international players within the film and contributing industries.

A premiere international event. INAMOVIE will bring together the Indonesian and international film industry experts, an international delegation with the main exhibition including a film market, business forum, conference, workshops, and movie screenings all under one roof and exclusive venue; the Ritz Carlton is known to have the highest standards.

This historic announcement took place at the world’s number one film festival Festival de Cannes made in Le Grand Hotel Cannes – La Plage 45 during the Indonesian Cinema Cocktail Party given by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia in attendance. Over 200 film professionals joined including Indonesian and international film directors, filmmakers, producers and media.

Cokorda Istri Dewi, (Special envoy of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia) accompanied by Harya K. Sidhartha, (Indonesian Consul General in Marseille France), Armein Firman (Director of Development Film Industry of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia), Harry Simon (Indonesian Motion Picture Producer Association), Toton Hutomi, (CEO of PT QuantumConvex International), INAMOVIE founders and organizers, as well as Marcella Zalianty and Happy Salma, two famous Indonesian artists who became the spokespersons of INAMOVIE. Also present was Novrisal Dimas, MT, representatives from the University of Mercu Buana Jakarta, Prof. Nunung Prajarto, MA, PhD from the University of Gajah Mada, Guillaume Catala of East West Synergy

Also confirmed at Cannes is the new alliance the international partnerships Bruno Chatelin CCO (Chief Creative Officer of Inamovie) of Filmfestivals.com based in Paris, France and Laurie Gordon (Director of International Relations Inamovie) of Musivision films based in Montreal, Canada who will bring their international experience in film events and animation, open their network and contribute to the vision as well as spearhead the structuring and implementation of the INAMOVIE conference, programming and satellite events.

INAMOVIE is located in one of Indonesia’s major tourist destinations and will be presented as a potential filming location, which will increase a synergy between the Indonesian film industry, international film producers and tourism. With its unique geographical position, strategy and population of over 235 million people with the world’s fastest growing economy overtaking Beijing and will easily expanding its regional and global markets. Natural wealth and diversity of Indonesian culture reinforces this potential, as evidenced by the increasing number of international cooperation with the filming took place in Indonesia and involving Indonesian talent.

About Bruno Chatelin

Bruno Chatelin, HEC 1977 alumni, began his marketing career with large international Advertising Agencies: Intermarco – Publicis, DMM Masius and JWT.

He became a film distributor in 1985 working in France for Sony then for UGC FOX from 1995 (Marketing Director and Managing Director) he has launched over 150 films grossing some 830m€ at the Box Office.

He co founded filmfestivals.com and fest21.com web portal and social network listing festivals worldwide.

He runs a consulting boutique Major Buzz Factory specialized in online marketing for the entertainment and founded a film Production company Emotion Film Factory where he produced Ensemble a short film by Mohamed Fekrane which won in Cannes 2011.

Prior to this he ran a Film School and Film Studio in Cherbourg and a TV production company in Tunisia in partnership with Endemol where he produced “who wants to be a millionaire”, for ENTV the national TV in Algeria.

He currently serves as elected Board Member of European Film Academy (EFA Awards…) which is chaired by Wim Wenders, he is an advisory Board Member at IFFS International Film Festival Summit.

He served as Jury member in many important film events : Jury President of Deir-el-Qamar short film festival in Lebanon, President and Producer of Fastrack 2005 Students International Short Film Competition in Cherbourg, Co Producer and co chair of the European Holywood Awards in Los Angeles, Jury member at several festivals Funchal, Festival Pris de Courts Paris, Fantasporto Porto, ECU, CINERGIA Lodz, Bahamas, Off de Cannes …

Laurie is a filmmaker, producer and director, founder of Musivision Films with a focus on animation. She has worked with masters of animation and prepares a series of documentaries on several Oscar winners and Nominees Animation Masters. She joins the project as Director of International Relations.
