Calendar of Events

Until 22 May 2011. Deadline for recive the proposals at the headquarters of the ANG (see rules).

May 2011. Meeting of the jury.

3- 5 june 2011. Projection of the shorts at Eco.sí fair. Girona.

4 juny 2011. SOMCURTS PRIZE-GIVING at Eco.sí fair. Girona.

16 December 2011. Ceremony and awards for Concurs de Fotografia
Naturalista (Naturalistic Photography Contest) and projection of the
Somcurts short films. Girona.

17 and 18 December 2011. Screening of participants of Somcurts and a selection of FICMA 11. Girona.

Rules

1.
The Commission of photography of the Associació de Naturalistes de
Girona, is the responsible for the selection of the presented shorts and
of the selection of a jury with professionals of the audiovisual and
environmental world.

2. The verdict of the jury will be
unappealable and reserves itself the right to declare the prize deserted
if it considers it appropriate. The organizing commission reserves
itself  the right of granting mentions of honorific character.

3. The development of the subject matter, the used technique, the composition and the creativity will be appraised.

4.
The participation is open to professionals, amateurs, schools,
universities, televisions and producers with right of exhibition. The
participants are the responsibles that their work do not affect a third
party and excludes the organization of any responsibility.

5. The works can not contain images that they vex or damage flora, fauna and/or human beings.

6. The institutional or advertising films will not be admitted.

7. All the short movies must be in Catalan or Spanish, or subtitled in any of these two languages.

8. The works will be presented in format DVD and with the sufficient quality to be projected.

9. The maximum duration of the works will be 20 minutes together with the credits.

10. Each participant can present the number of works that he/she wishes.

11.
The inscription is free. It is necessary to send a copy in DVD of the
short by postal mail and by e-mail the incription file perfectly filled
at
somcurts@naturalistesgirona.org This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
, also  an image of the film in .jpg format to be used in the diffusion.

12. The copy in DVD has to be send to the following address:

13. The participants will pay the taxes of sending the short films.

14. The organization will communicate the reception of the copy by electronic mail.

15.
Due to the educational character and of sensitization of the festival,
the awarded films and some of the selected ones they will be projected
in the exhibitions that the festival carries out with informative
eagerness. Also an extrat of the short films can be used to promote the
festival and the Associació de Naturalistes de Girona

16. As
long as the works are in its power, the organization compromises that
they will not be copied nor spread in their whole, with the exception of
the projections.

17. The participation in the festival means the acceptance of all the sections of these bases.
