The Oscars DPA gift suite: WE ALL ARE SHINING STARS!

Nathalie Dubois did it again! With her pre-Oscars DPA gift suite (https://dpagroup.org  ), set up at  the amazing exclusive LUXE  hotel (https://www.luxehotels.com ) she created an oasis of Peace and Love to celebrate talent, harmony and unity. In these very divisive insane times, I must salute and honor such a stand.

One  has to start with a glass raised to the Glory of the Oscars and for this reason, Nathalie strucked a deal  to  get Perduret Champagne (https://pearsonbrotherswinery.com/perduret-sparkling-wine ) to grace her suite. This is a unique brand of sparkling wine made with the honey of the bees! Truly sweet, truly amazing and sending you in heaven with just a couple of sips.  Talking about drinks, sometimes, you need a solid mixer for your vodka or your tequila. Come into the picture, sister Jordan and Jocelyn with their new company:  https://www.thisgirlmixerssnacks.com . Let yourself be taken by surprise with their all-time best seller: the organic margarita mixes or be more adventurous with the organic pineapple mind mojito mix or their unique organic bloody Mary mix. Once you experience their unique recipe it will be hard for you to go “drink” somewhere else.

Once we were on the right mood we went and dig into that amazing “Ali Baba” gift suite settled in actually a few suites within the Luxe hotel, which rhymes with luxury, obviously.   One of my first favorite stop was to encounter the Yacht Club fashion line team: www.YachtClubAccess.com  . They have an impressive luxury line of swimsuits, for men and women, and more. The quality of their products is unprecedented, and I strongly suggest you have a look on their website. They are based in Atlanta, and they ship to you their fine products anywhere in the World. And as in their own words: “We are a movement dedicated to making a positive impact”.

Japan for a long time has been one of my favorite destinations, so I was beyond happiness when DPA announced they were getting some most legendary Japanese brands in their suite. Let me first honor tatami maker Taihei Tsunekawa ( takaokaya.tatami@gmail.com ) who gave me an amazing handmade small tatami and to remind me of the magic of Japan. I went there several times, for business and pleasure, and Japanese people are the most welcoming and kind people you will ever meet as a tourist. The quality and dedication of their work is none to be found. I have to thank my new amazing Japanese friend, Yoko who is a producer and a glass designer. She brought also another artist, Maruta Shoten ( www.MarutaShoten.wixsite.com  ) who hand makes splendid sake cups with clay. Having a “taste” of Japan was a very special emotional moment for me as it brought back some of my best memories in my life, including filming, partly there, a  documentary about the notion of God and narrated by the legendary icon, Sharon Stone who I will never thank enough for being part of this endeavor (and thank to Nathalie Dubois from DPA who introduced me to her). Humble and thankful, Ladies.

Next I met with the most  generous soul I had the chance to cross path with: Molly Huntington, a 23 years old self-taught indigenous artist from  the Kahnawake Mohawk reserve. Her company is ‘Roots and Patterns’ (www.RootsandPatterns.ca ). Her business is all about interior décor like wallpaper and textiles.  I also met Mya, another indigenous beautiful soul from the Kitigan Zibi First Nation. Her company is www.KoKomScrunchies.ca which she launched in 2019. Kokom means grandmother in her native language. Mya created an impressive line of scrunchies, headbands, lanyards, scarves and more. Each unique piece tells a story and will make you feel so complete and shiny.

A gift suite experience is not complete unless you get a few “goodies” for you face and body, right? So met the team of ‘House of Laser’ (  www.HouseofLaserLA.com ) and experience a perfect blend of science and beauty. Their advanced treatments and personalized care will enhance your natural beauty and well-being. And what about using a toothpaste made with organic rose water? This is the offering from ‘Naturelle with Love’ ( www.NaturelleWithLove.com ) founded by the very impressive Nelly Radeva. She also has another toothpaste with activated charcoal. And then that company also produces and sells other natural handmade cosmetics and personal care products such as rose oil, vitalizing face serum, and more. You must try it!

Truly, one has to feel like a movie Star after gracing the DPA gift suite. It’s a welcome feeling as we enter an uncertain charted new era full of bullies and a very scary future. DPA gift suite was an “oasis” of hope and of positive energies for a short time and we take it. Let’s remain calm and focused, let’s pamper ourselves and everything will be fine, or so I hope. Blessings to you all and let’s live our lives like shining bright movie Stars!
