IT’S A FUNKO WILD WILD WORLD!!!

This summer it seems like FUNKO is everywhere on the planet, and especially in the USA with a mega appearance at the worldwide legendary Comic Convention of San Diego.

We went to the convention with our three boys who are mega fan of FUNKO. What a surprise when we discovered the ‘FUNKOVILLE’ built by the hard-working team of FUNKO. This year, they doubled the footprint of their booths and it felt like a complete immersive experience with several brand storefronts and some insane exclusive products for the joy of everyone. Among the stores, there was a donut shop, a bowling alley, a Loungefly and even a Mondo gas station. And let’s not forget a ‘Blockbuster Rewind video store’ which allowed the fans to go back in time, to the 90’s, and get some collectibles based on iconic films from that era. Brian Mariotti, who is the chief executive officer of Funko explained: “San Diego Comic-Con is a pinnacle moment for us, every year, as it provides the opportunity to create memorable moments for our fans though larger-than-life activations. We look forward to offering an even better way for fans to immerse themselves in their favorite fandoms”.

The kids had a blast, and we came back with bags full of various FUNKO products. On top of this we got a nice surprise from public relations manager, Samia Faour, who sent us a box of Pop! Figurines for our boys and from their favorite lines: Star Wars, Game of Thrones and Five Night at Freddy’s.

Truly this has been the summer of FUNKO: the World belongs to them. We are just glad to be part of it and to celebrate with them their huge success. Until next year when we meet again at the Comic Con of San Diego.
