ReelWorld Film Festival Opens Up with "Snow"

11th Annual ReelWorld Film Festival Opens Up with,
Rohan Fernando's Canadian Feature Film "Snow"
Sponsored by TD Bank Financial Group.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tronto, Canada [March 29, 2011] - Thanks to the generous support of our returning partners TD Bank financial, and Cineplex Entertainment, ReelWorld Film Festival (RWFF) is proud to announce that Canadian movie "Snow" will be the Opening Night Gala April 5 at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto.  Written, directed and produced by Rohan Fernando and starring Kalista Zachharyias in a performance of a lifetime.  This will be "Snow's" Canadian Premiere, following sold-out screenings for its World Premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival, in California.

Snow, follows Parvati, young woman whose life is changed forever when the tsunami strikes a small village in Sri Lanka, washing away everyone in her immediate family - including her twin sister, Kala. Now, Parvati finds herself in Canada, trying to navigate a new life while living in an unfamiliar culture, with distant relatives she has never met. "In a way, Parvati is like a newborn when she wakes up in Canada, groping and stumbling, hoping to one day find herself."

Both Director and Star will be in attendance at the festival.
