Here is a taste of what's to come.
Opening Night Gala
IFFLA 2022 will open with a bang with Last Film Show by IFFLA alum, Pan Nalin (Valley of Flowers, Faith Connections, and Angry Indian Goddesses), who will be in attendance at the screening and pre-reception at Harmony Gold on Sunset. To kick off 20 years of IFFLA, this crowd-pleasing film is a fitting celebration of the magic of cinema.
The tale follows a young boy who is so mesmerized by his first experience at the movies that he befriends the eccentric projectionist and starts skipping school for a prime seat, leading him down a rabbit hole of increasingly risky adventures. After making its debut at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, this Gujarati language film has delighted audiences at festivals around the world, and now it will have its Los Angeles Premiere at IFFLA’s Opening Night.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the Closing Night Gala!
The All-Access Pass includes all screenings and Galas. Secure yours today!

Spotlight on South Asia
You don't want to miss IFFLA’s inaugural Spotlight on South Asia, which showcases groundbreaking films from the greater South Asian subcontinent and its diasporas. Leading the section is a chilling psychological thriller: Abdullah Mohammad Saad’s nail-biting Rehana (Rehana Maryam Noor) which made history for being the first film from Bangladesh to compete at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.
We also can’t wait to share our remarkable Spotlight on South Asia short films with you! Featuring work from visionary filmmakers such as Hamza Bangash (1978), Student Academy Award winner Salar Pashtoonyar (Bad Omen), SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner Nuhash Humayun (Moshari), and many others, these exceptional films are redefining South Asian cinema on a global stage.
