European Film Market (EFM) is expanding

For the European Film Market 2009, there will be a prime new exhibition space in addition to the Martin-Gropius-Bau – the EFM Marriott Offices in the prestigious Marriott Hotel on Potsdamer Platz.

“We are delighted that the EFM has found an excellent new home in close proximity to the Martin-Gropius Bau (MGB). With the two venues we will be able to satisfy the growing interest at the Berlinale Market”, commented EFM Director, Beki Probst.

The EFM’s Marriott location will be concentrated on two floors: on the first floor, visitors will find the Marriott Stands situated opposite the three EFM screening rooms (Marriott Studios 1 – 3), and the new EFM Marriott Offices will be based on the second floor. There will also be a café, lounge and internet stations set up for the first-rate offices.

“It is a great pleasure for us to support the growth of the EFM with the new exhibition space and we are glad to be able to offer our Market participants two highly attractive locations.” remarked Berlinale Director Dieter Kosslick.

The EFM Shuttle Service will include a new stop, directly in front of the Marriott, bringing guests to all EFM venues within minutes.
