Docummunity from Portable Film Festival

Portable Film Festival are proud to announce a brand new filmmaking project for 2009! It's called Docummunity, and is the first open source online documentary project of its kind...

The concept is to empower filmmakers (and other artists) enabling them to make longer form documentaries, and creating a worldwide collaborative network of filmmakers, musicians and artists!

To kick this off this amazing project, Victorian Screen Development Association Open Channel are offering a 2 day short course that teaches you all the basics of filmmaking by working on the first ever Docummunity project. By the time you've finished the course you'll have written, produced, filmed and uploaded your own content to the Docummunity web site and will have the skills, and access to enough footage to make your own full length documentary! Check out the details as below; for bookings or more information, phone 03 86109300.

Here's a bit about the course - and stay tuned to Portable for Docummunity's upcoming launch!
