The tenth edition of the US in Progress co-production forum will be held online from the 11th till the 13th of November 2020, as a part of the 11th edition of the American Film Festival in Wrocław. In 2020 the festival will be running from November 5-15th in conjunction with the 20th New Horizons International Film Festival in a hybrid form.

The event aims to facilitate professional networking among European and Polish film professionals and independent filmmakers from the United States. Invite-only online work in progress screenings will feature nine projects selected from numerous submissions of independent American feature-length films in the final editing stages.

Other awards include an acquisition offer from Canal + group (Ale Kino+ television channel) and a free pass to next year’s Cannes Producers' Network.

The event will be complemented by online Polish-American co-production meetings, a networking opportunity for Polish producers seeking partners from the US and US producers willing to work in/with Poland. The event will feature presentations of Polish production incentives, panel talks on American promotion of foreign films (with a case study of Jan Komasa’s Oscar nominated Corpus Christi), and discuss transatlantic collaboration. Guest speakers will include: publicist Hilda Somarriba (PrismMedia), producer  Ewa Puszczyńska (Cold War, The Congress, Ida), Sony Pictures Classics’s Dylan Leiner, CAA  and Paradigm Talent Agency representatives.
