Honorary Award presentations to Noah Bean(Damages, Morning Glory, The Pill) and Rachel Boston(500 Days of Summer, The Pill). Mr Bean and Ms. Boston will be the co-recipients of the 2011 Big Apple Film Festival NY Emerging Talent Award. Presentation will take place following the screening of “The Pill” on Saturday, November 5th, 9 p.m. at Tribeca Cinemas.2011 Golden Apple Award presentation followed by a special Q and A with critically acclaimed New York producer Anthony Bregman. Mr. Bregman is the producer of such films as the Academy Award nominaed “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” starring Jim Carey, “Our Idiot Brother” starring Paul Rudd, “The Oranges”(world premiere at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival), “Synechdoche, New York” starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, “ The Savages” starring Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman, “The Ice Storm”, “The Brothers McMullen”. His projects in development include “Lay the Favorite” starring Rebecca Hall, Bruce Willis and Catherine Zeta-Jones and “Frank or Francis”, a Charlie Kaufman film starring Nicolas Cage, Jack Black and Steve Carrell. Award presentation will take place on Sunday, November 6th 9 p.m. at Tribeca Cinemas. Special Awards presentation for participating filmmakers. Awards will be presented for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Animation film, Best Experimental Film, Best Student Film and the NYC Cityscape Award.
