AniFest 2010 in full gear

 

AniFest 2010, the only international specialized competition animation festival in the Czech Republic announces that the festival´s 9th edition will take place in May 18 - 23, 2010 in the North Bohemian spa city of Teplice.

After 8 years in Trebon the AniFest management decided to move the festival to Teplice,

a larger, and both technically and logistically well equipped city. On top of that, more favorable conditions for holding such an international film event have been guaranteed in Teplice.

The festival will mark the 100th birthday of legendary film director Karel Zeman.

Honorary President of AniFest 2010 will be Ludmila Zeman the animator, illustrator and the daughter of Karel Zeman.Giannalberto Bendazzi, the renowned animated film historian, the author of the famous encyclopedia Cartoons, One hundred years of cinema animation is the Honorary Chairman of the Art Council of AniFest 2010.

 

The festival will be immediately preceded by a two-day international conference KAREL ZEMAN - CINEMA OF WONDERS (17. - 18.5) which will be attended by film professionals (Heitor Capuzzo, Paul Wells, and others) from all over the world, as well as by Zeman´s former collaborators and family members.
