AITP open air films in Amsterdam!

It is that time again! We are back throughout Amsterdam in the parks and squares with our FREE open air screenings: from August 28 till September 11, 2010
On August 28 and September 5 we screen London River: a film about the unexpected meeting between the British Elisabeth (Brenda Blethyn) and the African Ousmane (Sotigui Kouyate), both looking for their children after the bloody bombings in the London Underground in 2005. Sotigui Kouyate was awarded the Silver Bear at the Berlinale for best actor.
With films about Senegalese mbalax and Afro-American soul, AITP guarantees a musical film explosion! September 3 and 10 you can see the film Youssou N'Dour. I Bring What I Love: the award-winning documentary in which we follow the Senegalese pop sensation Youssou N'Dour as a musician and Muslim. On September 4 and 11 we’ll screen SOUL POWER with Jeffry Levy-Hintes a documentary about the legendary concert in 1974 that took place during Muhammad Ali's Rumble in the Jungle in Kinshasa, Zaire. A dynamic recording of one of the most mythical gigs till date, featuring BB King, Celia Cruz and the Godfather of Soul James Brown! A must-see for every soul fan!
