The program: Central to the program are the competitions, from the International and German competitions to the Documentary Film Competition and the Green Film Competition. interforum is hosting a series of master classes and panels at Pfefferberg Haus 13, there is an exhibition by Polish artist Kaja Renkas of her poster designs in Augmented Reality, and there will be a celebration of Virtual Reality at the Zeiss Planetarium. This year’s FOCUS ON section is formed by four programs dedicated to films from Poland and 2 programs addressing postcolonialism. And the wildest of all film events, Eject, The Long Night of Weird Shorts, usually held at the magnificent Volksbühne Berlin, will take place in the historic Königstadt courtyard open air – with the usual eject crew to guide you through the fun and noisy rounds of voting for your favourite film - plus cosy cushions, hot soup and mulled wine. Because of the reduced number of cinema seats available, we are also showing programs online on the SOONER platform: From 11 to 22 November, you can watch the Eyes Wide Open Online Competition and 6 special programs. The Sound & Vision event, where musicians perform new compositions to short films at the Volksbühne will be available online after the live broadcast on 13 November. All this for an "entrance fee" of just €7.95 The venues are Volksbühne Berlin, Babylon, Acud Kino, Kino in der Königstadt, Zeiss Großplanetarium, Pfefferberg Theater, Pfefferberg Haus 13, Rollberg Kino and the Gewerbehof courtyard in the old Königstadt. And KUKI is also ready to rock! KUKI – The 13th International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth Berlin 8 - 20 November 2020 #spreadconfettinotthevirus Over 60 films in 12 programs: This year, the International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth not only screen at cinemas, but will also stream directly to schools and kindergartens. This means: schools & kindergartens can register and book all 12 KUKI programs. The films are accompanied by pre-produced film talks and director interviews. Films for children feature German voice-overs for international productions, while the youth section has subtitles in German, English, French & Spanish (depending on the particular program). The really engaging film-pedagogical materials for preparation and follow-up in class are available free of charge on our website. Program bookings are now open!
