DCindiefilmfestThe DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) will celebrate 24 years of service to filmmkaers from February 21-24, 2024, and we are looking for great material to show in Washington, DC., a media hub of the United States. We work with established and novice filmmakers by creating strong, popular film and media events that attract people and attention to independent film as a creative engine. We screen features, animation, shorts, documenarty (long and short form) and web series pilots. Our roots in Washington D.C. run deep. DCIFF, an internationally-recognized, award-winning festival, is both largely volunteer-run and professional.
DC Indie Film Fest (DCIFF) Call for Animation Submissions: Reg Deadline November 29 at FilmFreewayFor twenty years and counting, the DC Independent Film Festival has worked to help filmmakers and animators through exhibition, professional development and networking. Sticking to a cutting edge profile, the festival programs with the aim of forwarding careers and has been successful in screening a number of Oscar-nominated animated shorts such as "Bear Story" and the glorious "Negative Space." Director Max Porter, who has collaborated since 2007 with Ru Kuwahata as the director duo of “Negative Space,” is on the festival's advisory board.
