Cellar Door Film Festival

Cellar Door Film Festival (CDFF) is Ottawa’s first showcase of speculative cinema, which celebrates the creativity of the Ottawa film scene and spotlights the city as a setting for the sinister and supernatural. CDFF encourages film culture, education, and production in Ottawa by promoting the creation, screening, and distribution of local, national and international films in the Nation’s capital.

Nov. 5-7, 2015| Showcasing independent films made within the speculative genres | Screening the strange & unusual.

Cellar Door Film Festival Programmers' Picks

Whenever someone asks a member of the CDFF programming team what to see, the answer is always “Everything!” but our programmers undertook the difficult task of choosing personal favourites among the collection of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films within the CDFF’14 line-up. To help audiences with their ticket choices, here are the Cellar Door programmers’ picks for some of the most notable shorts and features playing at the festival. (But we promise that you’ll want to pick everything, too!)

Read the full list of Programmers' Picks for shorts and features from programmers Renuka Bauri, Ramin S. Khanjani, and Pat Mullen here.

Advance tickets are $9 and are available through Uniiverse.

Tickets may also be purchased at Club SAW before each screening (day of only) for $12 cash.

All screenings take place at Club SAW in Arts Court (67 Nicholas St.)

All screenings are generously supported by CDFF’s presenting sponsors, The School for Studies in Art andCulture at Carleton University and the SPARTA Film Challenge as well as supporting sponsors the Alumni Association of Carleton University, GNA Heating and Cooling, The Haunted Walk of Ottawa, and Used Ottawa.
