Do you have an awesome short film the world should see? Flickerfest, Australia's leading Academy® Accredited and BAFTA-recognised International Short Film Festival, is calling for entries for its 2019 Festival, to be held 11-20 January 2019 at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach.

Now in its 28th year, Flickerfest is dedicated to showcasing the very best short films from Australia and around the world from live action to documentaries and animation. There are four Academy-qualifying competitions plus special showcases of kids and family friendly films (FlickerKids), films about relationships (Love Bites), LGBTQI+ films (Rainbow Shorts) and comedy (Short Laughs). The festival culminates with our prestigious awards presentation held under the summer stars at Bondi Pavilion in celebration of the world’s most innovative short form filmmaking and storytelling.
