Opening the Set of This Year's Blockbusters
2016 has been the year of the superhero in the cinema – Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse have all been some of the biggest movies of the year. Deadpool has been a massive success having made more than €750 million at the box office despite only a €58 million budget – much tighter than other superhero movies of its calibre. This comes despite the risk decision to make it a certificate 15 in the United Kingdom that could have worried the comic book fans it would be sanitised on the big screen. None-the-less, it was the profanity-laced, ultra-violent spectacular that fans had been hoping for. DC brought together their two biggest superhero characters when they released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice back in March. Other big name characters were added, such as Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman. Though it didn’t live up to its sizeable expectations in most corners it certainly raked it in in the box office. Another superheroes movie, Suicide Squad, has recently hit the cinemas but the early reviews have not been so positive… 27.08.2016 | Bruno's blog Cat. : PROS
