How to go to the Oscars in LA and stay covered

Afficher l'image d'origine

As we are slowly progressing through the awards season, some exciting films are up for nomination in the hope of capturing movie glory. You have the Golden Globes, the BAFTA’S but the biggest one; the Super Bowl of the film world, is the Oscars. It’s literally the biggest party in the world with a host of movies stars, celebrities, stylist and much more attending this prestigious event. If you were to be given an Academy Award (Oscar) you are then regarded as the best in your specific art within that year and I kid you not, everyone and everyone comes to this event, so let me give you some more information in regards to getting in the Oscars and staying covered in the process.

How do I get there?

Obviously, we all know that the Oscar’s invite a large party of movie makers and directors but in the realist terms, the majority of us are not film makers. So can I still get there you may ask? The answer to that question is yes and there are various ways in doing so. First option is registering on the Oscars website with the chance to sit in the bleachers lining the red carpet. Only 700 people will be chosen from the public, that might not seem a lot but the tickets come free so that’s a plus. It’s basically like a lottery, but if you are lucky enough to be awarded one these ticket, the bleachers are not actually in the Awards Show, so if your happy with just the bleachers, then that’s one way in attending this event.  Another odd but possible way of attending is registering with Seatfiller. Seat fillers waits by to fill any seats that are empty or if any leaves during the awards show; the reason for this is because when the camera pans out to the audience, there are no empty holes showing.

There are some other ways fulfil your bucket list- you could apply to be an extra for the Academy Awards or you can volunteer and help with some of the chores in regards to setting up the event. Needless to say, all these activities are hard to come by, but it’s not impossible and people have succeeded in going to the Oscars in the past, so you just need to be patience and capitalise on any of these opportunities.

How do I cover myself?

If you are lucky enough to attend the Oscar’s, then you’re going to have to make sure that the trip is fully covered. The best way in doing this is applying for an ESTA visa. Applying for an ESTA visa is really easy and simple, needing only 3 steps to complete the form. They have a professional service that can improve the chances of your ESTA being approved. They have a dedicated team who will check your application so that it can be acceptable for the US Department of Homeland Security. Once everything is completed and your ESTA has been accepted, you can than travel to the Oscars and maybe even get a selfie with Brad Pitt.
