Best 25 photos from Berlinale 2019: A man and his golden camera(Nora Fingscheidt, Helena Zengel and Albrecht Schuch with their Silver Bear for System Crasher, © Antonio Castello 2019)
By LINDSAY R. BELLINGER
The man with the golden camera. I first noticed photographer Antonio Castello during a press conference, due to his old-timey looking camera with a golden vintage lens. He captured over two thousand photos over the course of the massive eleven-day film festival. Looking through his snaps of festival director Dieter Kosslick, filmmakers, actors and actresses and average festivalgoers really made me miss the festival. Sit back and enjoy the unique perspective of Berlin-based Colombian photographer Antonio Castello as he gives you a peek into some of the exclusive moments from these past two weeks. This year's 69th Berlin International Film Festival was a lovely final hurrah for festival director Dieter Kosslick, the man who has courageously curated the Berlinale for nearly two decades.

Antonio Castello is a Colombian photographer and creative artist based in Berlin, Germany. For the last 6 years, he has been capturing scenes from Fashion Weeks, art events and various festivals all around the world. His artistic approach, the use of analogue cameras and vintage lenses mixed with modern technology along with a more experimental, radical style has put this Latin creative in the European art scope.
