Art Genesis

Presentation :  The EU Film Festival will take place in Beijing from November 1 to 30, in Chengdu from November 17 to 23, and in Xi'an from November 26 to December 2, 2010.

The EU Film Festival, which is financed by the Delegation of the European Union to China and supported by the Embassy of Belgium, current holders of the revolving EU Presidency, invite EU Member States to showcase one recent, populqr qnd succesful film. Such a wide and diverse selection will enable the Chinese general public to discover the new faces of European cinema.

Half of the movies will be screened in commercial theaters in Beijing, Chengdu, and Xi'an, with screenings at Star City Cinema and Broadway Cinemathèque MOMA in Beijing; Stellar Yingdu Multiplex in Chengdu, and Bona New Horizon International Cineplex in Xi'an.

The second half of the films and 2 short film programmes will be screened at the following EU Cultural Centers and Institutes in Beijing: Centre Culturel Français (French Cultural Centre), Instituto Cervantes (Cervantes Institute), German Embassy School, Istituto Italiano di Cultura (the Italian Institute of Culture), and Polish Embassy screening room.

Each film will be screened in their original language with English and Chinese subtitles.
