The Great Lent*** An Excerpt of the Spiritual Poetry, by Anna Polibina-Polansky My soul is at lent. My thoughts are fasting. My feelings are at mourn, though everlasting. I am sitting and of thinking of that bliss That lurked with its wings. It's the thing I miss. My eyes are rolled at an amazing prayer. My thoughts are universes; even greater Than that. My mere existence blankly lasts. I'm sorrowful. My soul is at fast. I am a preacher for my own truth. The cherubs stoop at me, of snow and youth. I know by heart the words of misty psalms. I keep endearing, those rising songs. My soul waits for easy resurrections. Reborn, the life yet needs love and protection. I hear tunes appointed from beyond. My pain and my joy, all come at a bond. Rejoice and sing, as angels meekly do. The world is meant, in happiness, for two. 04.03.2020; Moscow
