The CEE Animation Workshop has entered it’s sixth year with a new selection of participants and animated projects in development. The programme is again welcoming projects and participants from various different countries, while still maintaining focus on the CEE region and low production capacity countries. Among 38 applications from 26 countries, the organizers have carefully selected 12 projects and 28 participants from 13 countries who will attend the 2024 edition of the CEE Animation Workshop.

Out of 12 selected projects there are four short animated films, one animated series, one TV Special, five animated feature films and one XR animated film. There are also two career-oriented participants joining the line-up.

Take a look at the selected projects.

The CEE Animation Workshop enters its sixth edition with an on-site module that is taking place from 26 February to 2 March 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Esteemed producers Tonje Skar Reiersen (Mikrofilm, Norway) and Corinne Destombes (Folimage, France), along with experienced script consultants Phil Parker (United Kingdom) and Rita Domonyi (Hungary), are reprising their roles as group leaders, bringing their wealth of experience and expertise to guide participants.

A great amount of time will be dedicated to group work, individual consultations and networking, with some very insightful expert lectures. Ben Morris will teach the participants how to give feedback and notes, producer Agne Adomene (Art Shot, Lithuania) will reveal the feature production case study The Peasants, while Ulrich Michel (Noerr, Germany) will tackle legal aspects of development and co-productions. Script doctor Phil Parker will prepare a lecture on screenwriting for animation and certified facilitator Marjeta Novak will lead an interactive workshop on how to mitigate work and life balance with emphasis on personal regeneration in turbulent time.
