Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

altcineAction! Submission is open!

Whether an established or aspiring filmmakers, here’s your chance to shine—and win a full scholarship or production equipment that will jump-start your career.

The Balkan film portal altcine.com is holding the first online short film festival for the Balkans.

Submissions are open until September 7th and don’t delay: here’s the twist. altcineAction! will screen a maximum of 360 minutes—and films are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.

But there’s another twist: the jury is the public. That’s right, voting opens on September 9th  and anyone can vote for a film—even the director’s mother! And while the public will decide the festival prizes, a special jury will review the public’s critiques and award the best critic.

Remember, films should be no longer than 15 minutes and must have English subtitles. (Submission is online only; Vimeo compression and settings required.)

altcineAction!
is open to filmmakers up to 35 years old from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, FYR Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey.
