Committed to the quality and diversity of its films, the Brussels European Film Festival is dedicated to supporting emerging talent in filmmaking.

Official European Competition
The Official Competition is a selection of 14 films from European directors, only first or second feature films.

Section revelation
A selection of young independant filmmakers, presenting their first or second feature film, which hasn't enough visibility in the traditional filmcircuit.

Avant-premières
A selection of first and second feature films from European directors that will be released in the theatres in the next months.

Section Belgian Talents
A selection of first and second feature films from Belgian directors that were in the theatres during the last year.

Open air screenings
Every evening we are screening first and second feature films from European directors that are already well-known by the large audience.

Age d’Or and Cinedecouvertes Competition
Age d'Or - Cinédécouvertes presents 21 feature films from around the world that has no Belgian distributor yet. The selection is made by the Belgian Filmarchive.

Film Story Competition
The Film Concept Competition awards the best film idea for a feature film. The winners will be invited to attend the Festival.
