Set in Iran in 1959, the film follows ex-Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh living under house arrest and suffering from a life-threatening condition. Mossadegh must decide whether or not to trust a brilliant American physician that is sent to treat him.

Perched on a wall and wrapped in sculptural beeswax and lanolin costumes that melt away, dancers progress in euphoria and exhaustion, melting until their souls escape their ephemeral bodies and disintegrate into light.
