A month later, the film was projected on Carlton Beach during the Off de Cannes event, Cannes, France. The jury, chaired by Max Howard (producer of The Lion King), gave us ...

At the press conference on March 3 in preparation for the forthcoming 33rd International Film Festival for Women of Créteil and Val de Marne, we were informed about a rich festival program – with a special focus on southern European female filmmakers. We were also treated to a moving story: The Italian film Lo Spacio Bianco, directed by Francesca Comencini, is about a woman, Maria, finding new strength to live for her prematurely born daughter. Margherita Buy's moving performance as Mari...
Sorry to have not been quicker at continuing the events of the rest of the shoot but we have had a couple of happenings. I am now working for a Production and repping company in Dubai, we shall see how it goes, and Toby is working on a TV show so been busy with getting things together. As well as, of course, concentrating on our own work but at the momenth that involves making DVDs, covers and sending them off to various parts of the world. You might think that it wouldn't take up too mu...
Cannes may be a festival for film, but it's also a social festival: many people come to Cannes solely for the parties.
"I've never been to a film at the festival," says Cannes veteran, who comes to the festival every year to attend some of the best parties and most exclusive clubs in the world.
While most of these parties are expensive and very exclusive, there are some, especially during the day, that are more opened to the general public--at least to ...
So it seems that this year, destiny wanted to keep us (and your films) from getting to Cannes. Eyjafjallajokull, Iceland's unpronounceable volcano and its resulting ash cloud, inclement weather, train strikes and general mayhem all round have conspired to make life difficult but nothing stops ÉCU from getting to Cannes! So it is with pleasure that I am able to announce that the European Independent Film Festival - Europe's foremost festival for independent filmmakers -will be at Cannes...

The best place to go if you’re looking for atmosphere…
In addition to the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l’Est, one of the key landmarks in the 10th arrondissement is the Canal St-Martin. Although the northern part of the canal has a slightly industrial feel to it, the southern part is very picturesque and it’s a great place to go if you fancy a leisurely stroll. The tree-lined quais are close...

Next stop on our tour of Paris is the area of Belleville. Straddling the 19th and 20th arrondissements, Belleville is located between Rue de Belleville, Rue des Pyrénées, Rue de Ménilmontant and Boulevard de Belleville. It is situated on and around a hill and if you make it to the Parc de Belleville there are some amazing views of the city’s skyline.

DAY EIGHT
The college where I am staying provided a simple breakfast of cereal, fruit, juice and tea. I caught the local bus to the Palais (the main venue of the festival and market). I went around and said hello to sales agents that I already knew and checked out their new movies until 11am when I had an appointment to close a deal for an action film from a Japanese company.
I stopped at a few new booths and watched trailers of perspective movies for Cambodia. By 1pm I was hungry and ...
