Furthering its mission to encourage, educate and activate young Aruban filmmakers by creating new opportunities for hands-on learning and development, the Aruba International Film Festival (AIFF) is introducing a new Film Lab for the festival’s second edition, which takes place June 10-16, 2011. The announcement was made today by Festival founders Giuseppe Cioccarrelli and Jonathan Vieira and AIFF Artistic Director Claudio Masenza.

Building on the success of the inaugural Aruba International Film Festival (AIFF) last June, which attracted stars and films from around the world and entertained thousands over the course of a week, it has been confirmed that the island nation of Aruba will host a second edition of the AIFF this June (June 10-16). Initial details surrounding the 2011 Film Festival were unveiled today at a press conference by AIFF Founders and Producers Giuseppe Cioccarelli and Jonathan Vieira.

This is one of the first sights upon arriving in Aruba for the first ever Aruba International Film Festival. Can anyone ask for more? Beaches all day and great cinema by night and/or both all at once? That is what the AIFF offered on opening night with Richard Gere and guests... a Cinema de Plage Aruba style. Wawwww!
