The 21st Flickerfest International Short Film Festival has announced its Australian program with 45 short films chosen from over 2,200 entries. Five WA films made the official selection in what looks to be a stellar line up of talent on display from the State. Congratulations to the films, George Jones and the Giant Squid, Crosshairs, Good Pretender,Transmission and Bush Basher. ARIA Awards In Sydney's Olympic Park: Gotye, Kimbra, Boy & Bear roaring Success - 28th November 2011
It was that time of the year again - the night of night's for Australia's music industry.
What a night it was for the the 25th anniversary ARIA awards at Sydney's Olympic Park last night.
There were so many highlights.
How about Gotye (one of my favorites) winning three gongs, and then of course Prime Minister Julia Gil...
What happens when you mash together 300 volunteer zombies, a $10,000 budget and an “end of the world, romantic-zombie-action-musical” screenplay? The 2009 Australian indie film I am Bish, currently buzzing through the international film festival circuit with the appropriate tagline, “Just because it’s the end of the world doesn’t mean we can’t have a few laughs.”

The 12th Over The Fence Short Film Fest opens on 2 October and travels the land to Queensland, across to Victoria and back to Western Australia.
The Tour will conclude in February when the OTF Most Popular Film and the OTF Best Film Awards will be announced.
