It's amazing...the more I share my experiences about becoming a stand up comedian the more people I run into who tell me, "That is so cool. I've always wanted to become a comic. How did you do it?" and they'll begin sharing with me how long they've had this dream. The first thing I tell them is, "Do it. It's one of the greatest things I've ever done for myself and you will be glad you did, too."
After appearing as a guest on myConversation Crossroad radio show, S...

Some people seem to be blind to the true face of this festival.
Is this good or bad?
We know for a fact tthat Artivist Festival does not maintain impecable business ethics and standards: they do not pay their bills. We are proof of that (The festival director Diaky Diaz bought an ad campaign from us and did not pay the whole bill)
We have been approached by many staffers who reported they were owed money from this organization and never got it...
We at fest21.com notice that...
12th Annual EROS Film Festival Sends a Message: It Gets BetterAs our nation cries out in grief and disbelief at the recent tragedies surrounding gay youth in America, the question that begs an urgent answer is: how do we prevent this from happening again and again? The answer is simple: support, support, support. Support takes many forms – from reaching out on a personal level to gay and lesbian youth in our lives to mentoring an at risk youth we’ve never met to linking ourselves and othe...
By Ron GilbertGasper Noe is a director who has a vision which I have never seen, I did not need to take any drugs to watch this film but I got very high watching it.For a moment there was a similarity to the films, Requiem for a Dream and You Can Count on Me but this film enters a whole new realm. Peter Fonda should rush out to see it because of his participation in the Roger Corman film “The Trip” with the late Dennis Hopper and buddies Bruce Dern and good old Jack Nicholson. The actors wou...

Another trophy guest of the L.A. fest was 84 year old Roger Corman, producer, director, writer, actor, promoter, distributor, and living legend of B-and-Below kitsch/trash movies -- as part of the "Conversations with Hollywood Celebrities" sidebar, which has been one of the highlights of the current L.A. Int'l Film Festival. To start with, let us say that Roger does not look a day over seventy-four, and was greeted upon arrival on stage by a most respectful whole-room-standing-up ovation which h...
I didn't think it would be possible for anything to upstage the last few days of the fest, but yes if there is one man whose indie credentials upstage them all it has to be the legendary Roger Corman walking in with none other than Peter Fonda: more in my blog coming soon about his awe-inspiring panel "School of Corman", and the power-packed films that have kept me alive for the last few days on more than just the sponsor's energy bars.
But first, th...

Well, the good news is that after several days of torrential rain showers, the sun is finally shining in Zlin as the Zlin Film Festival hits the halfway mark of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Despite the unusually cool weather, the atmosphere has been warm at this popular and important film event, the oldest devoted to films for the children and youth market (although adults are more than welcome).
The Fest...

This being said, my first question to Karl
