For the past three years, a special leader has been made for the Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) to be screened at the IFFR ahead of films made possible with support from the HBF. To make these leaders, the HBF approaches filmmakers who received support from the Fund early on in their careers. These filmmakers are then given complete artistic freedom to make a leader.
