About the Director: 

The director, Specialborn Seyi Akanbi, studied Theatre and Media Arts from University of Ibadan. He has written, produced and directed several movies and Television Commercials. He has worked under the tutelage of great men of theatre in Africa like Prof. F emi Osofisan, Dr Remi Adedokun, Dr Hyginus Ekwuazi and Dr Tunde Awosanmi among others. Film to him, is a visual matter, so he uses everything within his disposal to tell stories visually. One of his school projects, "Living in Nigeria" was the University of Ibadan's entry film for BOBTV awards in 2007 while he was nominated for International Young Screen Entrepreneur of the Year Award oragnised by British Council in August 2008.

About the Producer: 
SMS Multimedia is the producer of the popular home video "Ninu Aye" portrayed the menace of female students' prostitution and indecent dressing in African content. The film was marketed by Legend Pictures Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria and has been shown on most Television Stations in the country. He is one of the crew members that produced "Tales by Moonlight" on NTA, Ibadan Network Centre in Nigeria. He is presently working with African Newspaper of Nigeria Plc, the publisher of Tribune Titles in Nigeria.

Film synopsis: 
Awoye is a story that revolves around a once respected judge, Bogunjoko (Baroka), who commits murder and is to be brought to judgment by Jimmy (Taiwo Ibikunle), who this judge had once sentenced to prison over an offence committed by Bolaji (Morin Olaniyi), the son of Bogunjoko while Bolaji, Jimmy and some other friends of theirs were still in the university. The scenario costs Bolaji his life while Bogunjoko is set free.
