About the Director: 

Born in 1950, Isomura is one of the essential filmmakers in Japanese movie world. He is a screenplay writer, a producer, and he ranks high in the public esteem by his delicate expression as a film director. His work “Give It All” (1998) won many film awards in Japan, and made a smash hit at the box office by “Gege” (2004). “MATATAKI” is his 30th film.

Izumi lost her beloved boy friend Junichi by a traffic accident. She was also in the scene of the accident but cannot remember what happened because of shock.
