Our world has been affected like nothing else in our life's history! Many of our staff, including our Director - were hit by the Covid19!! All of us are fine now and adapting to "Pandemic Life"... we hope you and yours are all safe and well...

And our very warmest wishes to you and yours for a Wonderful Christmas, the Happiest of Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, and a Wonderful, Peaceful & Prosperous New Year from all of us at the 54th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival! The Oldest Indie Film Fest in the World!

You are cordially invited to participate in the upcoming 54th WorldFest-Houston! The Main Online Deadline is only a few days away! Tuesday, December 15th! You may enter via our website or via filmfreeway.com ~ The festival that gave first honors to Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, the Coen Brothers, Francis Ford Coppola, John Lee Hancock, Gillian Armstrong, Oliver Stone, Guillermo del Toro, Deepa Mehta, David Lynch, Jane Campion, Randal Kleiser, & David Winning - among hundreds of others!

We offer competition in 10 major categories, including Shorts, Features, New Media, Screenplays, Student, Experimental, TV Production, Music Video, TV/Web Commercials, & Film & Video! We screen Remi Winners on big Cinemark Theatre screens, not little hotel meeting rooms. We have a great Festival Club for super networking, 3 HQ Hotels with great rates, the Remi Awards Gala, a VIP Tour of NASA with an official Police Escort and the only film festival in the world with a Regatta & Texas BBQ! You could be the next Spielberg or Ang Lee!

We welcome your entry--so thank you for making our year great. We couldn't have done it without you! (Entries close Dec 15th!) The 54th is April 16-25, 2021, 10 Great Days in April!) There is a Final Late Entry Deadline of January 15th, 2021, (with a Late Fee, natch!) just in case!

About WorldFest Houston

Haney Kathleen
(WorldFest-Houston Intl Film & Video Festival)

Kathleen Haney is the Artistic & Program Director of the 55th Annual WorldFest-Houston. She has been associated with WorldFest since 1983 and has been the Program Director since 1998. She was born in Mexico City, speaks Spanish, English and French and graduated from the Univ. of Houston in 1979 cum laudi.
She has served on several international juries and also directs the WorldFest Screenplay Competition.

Hunter Todd is the Chairman & Founding Director of WorldFest-Houston. A former filmmaker, he produced, directed and shot more than 300 films of all types - from features to TV Commercials, and was awarded 117 Intl Awards. He is a retired USCG/Merchant Marine Captain and still sails as much as possible, including the annual HYC Regatta at WorldFest. Married with a 21 going-on-29 daughter who is attending Mary Baldwin College in Virginia. He has served on the Intl juries of more than 25 festivals, most recently was President of the Intl Jury of the Concorto Intl Film Festival in Italy and The Golden Bell TV Festival in Seoul, Korea...
