RICH HILL World Premiere @ Sundance 2014 in US. Docu. Competition

Directed by: Tracy Droz Tragos, Andrew Droz Palermo, RICH HILL is modern American tale about 3 young boys from Rich Hill, Missouri. It is a coming-of-age story that follows these teens as they deal with life and the hand that has been dealt to them.

Filmmaking cousins Tracy Droz Tragos and Andrew Droz Palermo come together to bring this cinematic journey to the big screen. The result is an up-close and unflinching portrait of 3 young men from small town America… full of heroic spirit, hope and inspired resilience.

SUMMARY: Filmmakers Tracy Droz Tragos and Andrew Droz Palmero go back to their hometown of Rich Hill, NC to see how it has changed from when they grew up there over 20 years ago. They find three moving stories of teens and their families living in poverty and trying to make it for themselves and their families. Their stories reflect what is happening to many families in many cities and towns across America. Young kids having to grow up fast. Parents fighting for survival. Everyone still believing the future holds a better life for them. It's a snapshot of today's small-town America.
