IFFI 2024, 04: Delegates Hazaar at Film Bazaar

Around 1,000 (hazaar, in Hindustani) delegates, from abroad as well as Indian are expected to attend the Bazaar this year. The Bazaar runs parallel to the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024. It opens on 24th November, at the Marriott Hotel, Panaji, Goa, and is on till 28 November, both days inclusive. Delegates include festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, filmmakers, producers, book publishers and other industry professionals from 35+ countries this November for five days of unmatched access, networking and education.

Registration for Film Bazaar 2024 is open now.

Before you can register, you need to create a MyFilmBazaar account, from which you can enter the registration system. If you already have a MyFilmBazaar account, you will be able to use the same login details.

There are two categories of Registration.

  1. Delegate Registration
  2. Student Registration

If you are a delegate with a project or script that you would like to
pitch, then these handy tips, from the organisers, might help you make the optimal use of your time at the Bazaar.

A master list of all guests attending Film Bazaar is uploaded every year on the website. Once you log in, spend time looking through the profiles of companies and/or executives who might be best suited for your project.

Ahead of meetings with potential producers, investors, distributors, sales agents, financiers at Film Bazaar, prepare a short pitch that encompasses the key elements of your project. Also make sure that you have a concrete idea of the finances involved in the project.

Siraj Syed is a film-critic since 1970 and a Former President of the Freelance Film Journalists' Combine of India.

He is the India Correspondent of FilmFestivals.com and a member of FIPRESCI, the international Federation of Film Critics, Munich, Germany

Siraj Syed has contributed over 1,015 articles on cinema, international film festivals, conventions, exhibitions, etc., most recently, at IFFI (Goa), MIFF (Mumbai), MFF/MAMI (Mumbai) and CommunicAsia (Singapore). He often edits film festival daily bulletins.

He is also an actor and a dubbing artiste. Further, he has been teaching media, acting and dubbing at over 30 institutes in India and Singapore, since 1984.
