CommunicAsia2015, I: What NXT?CommunicAsia 2015, I: What NXT? Marina Bay Sands Hotel, among the top attractions in Singapore, is the venue for this year’s four-in-one event, CommunicAsia2015, BroadcastAsia2015, EnterpriseIT2015 and SatComm2015. It is the same venue where the 2014 event was held. The dates are June 02-05. Even content-wise, there is a triple focus: three themes, separated into clusters: NXT Cities, NXT Enterprises and, for the very first time, NXT Connected Lifestyle. NXT Connected Lifestyle will cover smart living, wearables, 3D printing, connected cars and unified communications & collaboration, and will also demonstrate the technologies that underpin the new market, such as content security management, and multi-screen. In the future of connected lifestyles, consumers are expected to live in integrated cities, where healthcare, finance, public safety and education are intrinsically linked. Buyers from the public and private sectors will congregate at NXT Cities to look for solutions specified to automate city operations, increase efficiency and improve the quality of life for residents.
NXT Cities will showcase biometrics, ePayments, eGovernment, mHealth, smart metering, mobile learning, big data, mobile banking, and other technologies needed to empower the connected cities of the future. NXT Enterprises will spotlight challenges faced by the digital business age and the innovative solutions to overcome obstacles. Visitors can preview end-to-end solutions, developed for big data, cloud, security and enterprise mobility, which will fast-forward the evolution of smart enterprises where greater efficiency can be achieved, at lower risks and costs. BIMAR is a Singapore-based start-up offering a Swiss location-based technology, LBASense. It developed the Singapore Shopping Index. The company’s CEO, Erel Rosenberg, said: “2014’s event was especially fruitful as we signed a strategic co-operation, and are negotiating relationships with multiple suppliers, application developers and end users.” (BIMAR is now DFRC Pte. Ltd.). Another Singapore-based company, BioSenze Life Science, launched the world’s first diagnostic kits that provide accurate health test readings, at CommunicAsia 2014. Michael Tan, Founder/CEO, BioSenze Life Science Pte Ltd., said “The success of last year’s event will have BioSenze back in 2015, with more products.”
