Sehsüchte – the largest international student film festival in Europe

From April 22 to 26, 2015, the 44th Sehsüchte festival will take place in Babelsberg, Germany. The HFF „Konrad Wolf“ just became Germany‘s first film university, and is now referred to as Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.

Sehsüchte continues to stay true to its name and concept: Planned, organised and held by Masters Degree students of the Media Studies Programme, as well as many assisting students from other programmes and faculties, Sehsüchte provides an exhilarating hub for international talents, film students as well as established filmmakers and fans alike.

The theatres of our media city “Medienstadt Babelsberg” will screen new films directed by young talents from around the world, whose works will compete for 16 different awards.

Besides the theatres, the entire campus will be the festival’s canvas. Sehsüchte will comprise of workshops, panel discussions, networking events, concerts and parties.

Since its inception, Sehsüchte has become a festival not to be missed, and has turned into an experience firmly anchored in the cultural community of Brandenburg, as well as an event frequently attended by members of the film industry from all over the world.
