Estes Park Film Festival to Host Two Special Film Screenings(Estes Park, Colorado) - Continuing their mission to educate, inspire, and advance a greater appreciation of independent cinema, the Estes Park Film Festival is set to host two special film screening events this month. The first event takes place on Monday, January 19th, and is a screening of David Modigliani’s “Crawford”, a documentary about the impact of President Bush’s relocation to the small town of Crawford, Texas, shortly after announcing his candidacy for president. The day before President Bush departs the White House will be a time of reflection for the entire country. “Crawford” provides a unique perspective on the Bush presidency: through the eyes of the 705 residents of Crawford, Texas. The film starts at 7:00 PM and will take place at Estes Park’s Notchtop Café & Bakery. Attendance to this special event is free, but donations for the EPFF’s non-profit mission will be accepted at the door. Attendees will also have a chance to win two All-Access passes to the 2009 Estes Park Film Festival (Sept. 17-20) as well as an opportunity to bid on an autographed photo of actress/comedian Carol Burnett. For the festival’s second event, film goers can enter a different dimension in cinema as Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Patrick Rea, presents his newest and most suspenseful short films at the EPFF Free Film Series at the Estes Park Public Library - Hondius Room on Monday January 26th at 7:00 PM. Since 2004, Patrick has directed many short films that have screened at festivals such as the Estes Park Film Festival, the Central Nebraska Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Shriekfest LA, The New York City Horror Film Festival, and Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors. Films that will be showcased at this free screening include "Next Caller", "Now That You're Dead", "Paint Shaker" "Misfortune Smiles", and "Prisoner Exchange at Bannon's Lookout". More information about both of these events is available on the festival’s website (www.estesparkfilm.com), or by calling (970) 231-2580. 01.01.2009 | seandb's blog Cat. : Bush Business Business Carol Burnett Cinema of the United States Crawford Crawford David Modigliani Emmy Award Entertainment Entertainment Environment Environment Film festival Health Health Misfortune Smiles New York City Next Caller Paint Shaker Palm Beach PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Patrick Rea Patrick Rea Politics Politics Prisoner Exchange at Bannon's Lookout Shriekfest Shriekfest Technology Technology the 2009 Estes Park Film Festival the Central Nebraska Film Festival The Estes Park Film Festival The New York City Horror Film Festival White House FILM
