SCAD SAVANNAH FILM FESTIVAL CELEBRATES DAYS THREE + FOUR OF 20th ANNIVERSARY EVENT

Kyra Sedgwick received the Icon Award Tuesday at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. She participated in a Q+A following a screening of “Story of a Girl” (directed by Sedgwick) earlier in the day.

On Monday, an exciting series of Wonder Women panels took place and featured prominent female leaders in Hollywood including producers Cathy Konrad, Alison Owen, and Kaila York. Directors John Ridley (“Let It Fall”), Yance Ford (“Strong Island”), Evgeny Afineevsky (“Cries From Syria”), Bryan Fogel (“Icarus”), all featured in this year’s Docs To Watch series, participated in Q+A’s following their film screenings on Monday. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) celebrates 20 years of cinematic creativity at the 2017 SCAD Savannah Film Festival. The festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 28, to Saturday, Nov. 4.

Visit filmfest.scad.edu for a complete list of films and screening locations or follow the festival on Facebook, Instagram #SAVFF #SCAD, and on Twitter @savfilmfest.
