The Jury of the 17th International Film Students Meeting, consisting of students from centres in Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States of America; chaired by José Luis Torres Leiva has decided to grant the following awards:

Panavision Award to the film:

For showing us an insight into a child’s mind, confined in a world in which he finds himself to be powerless

“EL VERANO DEL LEÓN ELÉCTRICO” Diego Céspedes
(Carrera de cine y televisión - Universidad de Chile, Chile)

Special mention:
For its audacity and its fresh take on cinema, capturing the essence of a promising young filmmaker

“ONDE O VERÃO VAI (EPISÓDIOS DA JUVENTUDE) / WHERE THE SUMMER GOES (CHAPTERS ON YOUTH)” David Pinheiro Vicente
(Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, Portugal)

The award carries a complete camera package including RED Epic camera and Primo standard lenses for four weeks of filming, or a voucher worth 10,000 euros for the rental of any kind of Panavision material.

The Orona Jury, consisting of students coming from the Universidad de Mondragón (HUHEZI), coordinated by a teacher of the Universidad de Mondragón and there will be supported with the presence of Orona Fundazioa’s Developing Manager to grant the following award:

Orona Award to the most cutting – edge short film in the Meeting:

For its pioneering treatment of the female form - a theme approached so many times over the history of cinema- and for its technical and narrative innovation

“THE GIRL WITH TWO HEADS” Betzabé García
(National Film and Television School, United Kingdom)

 The award carries 5,000 euros for the director of the most cutting-edge short film of the Meeting.
