Social responsibility initiative launched at IFFI G0A
PARENTS OF SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN TO SHARE EXPERIENCES WITH FILMMAKERS For the first time ever, the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa has included social responsibility and inclusivity as part of the festival program. Accordingly, the 42nd edition of IFFI will feature on Nov 27, a session in which parents of children with special needs will give film makers, media and delegates, a glimpse into the lives of these children through three small films titled ‘JANAM’, ‘AAGAZH’ and ‘PARVAAZ’.
The films have been produced by Shalini Gupta, Neena Wagh and Kusum Tiwari, three mothers who set up an informal group named‘SAATH’ ( the Hindi language word for "together" ) to sensitize film makers and delegates about the needs of differently abled children and their families. 25.11.2011 | Ronita Torcato's blog Cat. : 42ND IFFI GOA CDATA Culture of Goa Director Entertainment Entertainment Goa IFFI International Film Festival of India Kusum Tiwari Neena Wagh Person Career Shalini Gupta Shankar Mohan The International Film Festival of India
