Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes services and offers

OFF PLUS CAMERA is a major event devoted to Polish and international independent cinema organized by The Society for Independent and Other Arts OFF CAMERA and Krakow Festival Office since 2008. . Our key objective is to give support to the filmmakers at the beginning of their careers. The most important element of the festival is the international competition, in which 12 independent directors from all over the world compete for the Krakow Film Award of $100,000. The winner is selected by an international jury and the award is given by the President of Krakow. Each year, approximately 100 films are presented during more than 200 screenings. Our Festival aspires to show – besides the newest productions – the classics of underground cinema through retrospective and tribute sections.

Off Plus Camera will host the FIPRESCI award!

Off Plus Camera Film Festival is constantly expanding its horizons and working hard on many novelties. This 4th year of the festival, The International Federation of Film Critics will award its prestigious accolade - FIPRESCI.

The International Federation of Film Critics ( Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique) is an association of professional film critics from all over the world. The Federation took shape in Paris on June 6th 1930. The main aim of the association is to promote ambitious cinema. It also takes into account issues such as journalism ethics and other activities leading to the development of a creative and debate inducing film critique.

The FIPRESCI award is presented at the most important international film festivals such as Cannes or Berlin. This year, for the first time, it will also be bestowed during the OFF PLUS CAMERA in Krakow!

This year's Jury includes:
Ronald Bergan, an acknowledged British critic and film historian. He authored quite a few books on famous filmmakers. The titles include: “The Coen Brothers”, “Jean Renoir: Projections of Paradise”, “Sergei Eisenstein: A Life in Conflict”. Mr Bergan regularly publishes on the pages of one of the British broadsheets; “The Guardian”.
