Recently named the Coolest Short Film Festival by Moviemaker Magazine, the DC Shorts Film Festival and Screenplay Competition is the largest short film event on the East Coast of the United States. In 2013, we screened 152 films from 21 countries in 18 unique showcases that played over 11 days to a total audience of 9,300 people. Founded in 1996, The Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF) was the brainchild of local business and civic leaders who felt a film festival would offer an exciting cultural venue for the community, be a tremendous fundraiser for film and TV education and would also provide an excellent opportunity to introduce filmmakers to the area's resources.
The PBIFF celebrates both the history and the future of the film industry with seven days of world premieres, special events, seminars, feature, short films and documentaries. In 2003 PBIFF became a "Competitive" Festival; joining the ranks of other great film events such as: Sundance, Cannes, Toronto and Venice. The PBIFF has enjoyed a remarkable level a success to date.
Unlike many festivals around the country, the PBIFF has dedicated itself to making a difference in the lives of young people by helping to fulfill their dreams in the world of film. Proceeds generated each year go to the Palm Beach County Schools to provide new technologies for optimal learning in the form of grants and scholarships.

Categories include: Feature (over 60 minutes), Short (under 20 minutes), Documentary, and Animation. Special Interest Film Blocks include: Green Screen, Horse Fever and Cinemagic.
The Silver Springs International Film Festival (April 3-6, 2014) is an international cultural event created to elevate awareness of Ocala/Marion County, FL, Florida’s Silver Springs State Park and the area’s contributions to the cinema, as well as the cultural landscape of Florida. The springs have inspired generations of nature lovers and filmmakers alike; serving as a dramatic backdrop for countless film, television and commercial shoots and the “laboratory” where cinematography legend Bruce Mozert conceived, developed and perfected underwater photography.
The first Festival is set to be held in Historic Downtown Ocala in the beautifully restored Marion Theatre.

#VOFF inaugural edition “When Life Gives You Lemons ...” calls for film-makers to compete for US$ 100’000 in cash. The Viewster Online Film Fest is an online, community moderated, festival with Ted Hope among the jurors. In the first edition basically all formats are accepted, like for features, series, shorts and projects that fit the theme.
