New York Festivals World's Best TV & Films competition honors programming in all lengths and forms from over 50 countries.  

All Entries in the 2020 competition will be judged online and screened by New York Festivals Television & Film Awards Grand Jury of 200 plus producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe. Nominated Finalists are judged by a selected panel at the United Nations for the UNDPI Awards. Dubuque, Iowa is a quaint city on the Mississippi and a perfect place to host the festival. As quoted in Filmmaker Magazine "The festival is smartly situated downtown, with an assortment of handsome venues all within walking distance" from the Festival Headquarters, located in the grand HOTEL JULIEN, the same hotel where Al Capone used to hide out from the Chicago Feds.

Our final nominees are judged by our Jury members of Film professionals, such as Directors, Producers, Critics, Director of Photography, etc and choose the final winner of each category.

Paleochora Lost World Short Film Festival launched its 1st edition in June 2019 to a spectacular success. The 2nd Paleochora Lost World Short Film Festival returns in June 2020  in association with the Municipality of Kandanos-Selinou. The 'Lost World' of Paleochora nestles between the Mountains and Sea in South West Crete and is the perfect location for Filmmakers to convene to show their work, network with colleagues and enjoy our fabulous Cretan hospitality. We may be at the most southern point of Europe, but there are BIG Film things happening here and on the entire Island of Crete. Our main aim will be to select films which focus on great storytelling, whether fiction, documentary or any other accepted genre.

Screenings are held Under the Stars in the Town Hall Square with daytime programmes held at the fabulous Pearl Cavo oceanside venue.
