Banish the thought. Alpha is a classy movie that ranks among the best seen ...

Somehow Chloé Zhao's all-too-real film The Rider has remained somewhat under the radar, when compared to the many mediocre or even god-awful films that stay in the cinemas for months on end. The Chinese director/writer/producer uses a feminist approach to portray the vulnerable side of a modern day cowboy, Brady Jandreau playing a fictionalized version of himself, whose fateful head injury took ...

The 22nd edition of PÖFF, running from November 16th to December 2nd, will see a major change in one of the three competition programmes of the festival. Sharkwater: Extinction by Rob Stewart - Canada 2018 90 minutes
Rob Stewart “Conservation is the preservation of human life on earth. And that, above all else, is worth fighting for”
Watch Rob Stewart doing what he loved most of all, swimming with sharks, in exclusive footage from his third film,
Sharkwater: Extinction.
The soundtrack "Child of the Water" is a tribute to Rob, written and recorded by the ethereal Chantal Kreviazuk.
Sharkwater: Extinction, scheduled to release in October 2018, is a follow up to his first two award-winning films,
Sharkwater and Revolution. Sharkwater exposed the devastating issue of shark finning, while Revolution brought
the destructive effects of Ocean Acidification to light.
Rob taught the world to not fear sharks, through his iconic images of hugging these majestic creatures and free diving with them.

TAIPEI by Jason Lester Romance under influence - USA, first feature film 96 minutes
"Think Romeo and Juliet meets Trainspotting" - Filmfestivals.com Bruno Chatelin

Taipei is an adaptation of Tao Lin’s critically-acclaimed, cult favorite novel of the same name.
Two young New York writers fall in and out of love amidst a whirlwind of drugs, parties, technology, and travel. As one relationship collapses, another blooms for Erin, swept into the world of Paul Chen, a mysterious, charismatic author. When he proposes documenting every aspect of their new romance in an epic laptop-filmed “documentary”, the couple enter into a performative bad romance, fueled by substances and sleepless nights. Tracking the pair through a shotgun Niagara Falls wedding, an LSD trip in a New Jersey mansion, and to Taiwan, the country of Paul’s birth where the couple comes to confront their individual alienation, Taipei is a visually stunning, extremely contemporary portrayal of what it means to be young, alive, and in love in a digital world.
