Venice Production Bridge announces programs

The VPB continues, as it has done over previous editions, to focus in particular on the presentation and exchange of original projects for films and works in progress, so as to foster their development and production.
The VPB comprises the Venice Gap - Financing Market, the workshop Final Cut in Venice, the Book Adaptation Rights Market, the European Film ForumNetworking Sessions and Panels, as well as an Exhibition Area, and much more.
This year the VPB will be held across three of the Venice International Film Festival locations;  the Excelsior Hotel, the Hotel des Bains and the Venice VR Island.

The idea of building an opportunity for networking for all the professionals involved in production, not only in cinema but across all the audiovisual sector, has shown its relevance in the huge success of the 2018 edition, with more than 2,500 accredited professionals and enthusiastic feedback from all participants.

The VPB is providing producers with a unique possibility of meeting the multiple categories of financiers who are participating in the creation of the necessary financial package to create a film. Distributors, sales agents, banks, private and public investment funds, regions and film commissions, broadcasters, video aggregators and Internet platforms, etc.

La Biennale di Venezia and the Venice Production Bridge’s purpose, with this project, is to provide concrete assistance in the completion of films from all African countries and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria. The workshop offers the opportunity to present films still in production phase to international film professionals, in order to facilitate post-production and promote co-production partnerships and film market access.
The workshop consists of three days of activities, in which the working copies of a maximum of six selected films are introduced to producers, buyers, distributors, post-production companies and film festival programmers. The workshop will be followed by a full day of one-to-one meetings between the project teams and decision-makers.
