Chezhian who was the protégé of P C Sriram, has handled the camera for the films Kalloori, Rettai Suzhi, Thenmerku Paruvakaatru and now Bala’s Paradesi. Cameraman Chezhiyan deserves accolades for bringing the serene villages and paddy fields from Kerala-Tamil Nadu border on screen. His camera intensely follows the life of the youngsters, recording the subtle and touching moments in their lives. LINE PRODUCERSania Jhankar first found her love for filmmaking at the age of thirteen, when she got the oppor-tunity to work as an actor on Lekroo, The Child. a film that was screened at the Mill Valley FilmFestival in California. One of her several production experiences led her to work with award-winning actor Victor Banerjee the discovery of Satyajit Ray.
During her time in India, she worked with the Maharashtra Times, edited History of Marathi Cinema commissioned by the Institute of India Languages, directed a trailer for Star Movies and was associate director for the feature film Mahek.It premiered in official selection at the London Film Festival to affectionate reviews.Invited to many festivals around the world, it was also nominated for the Best Children’s Film at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Australia. Sania attended Mahindra United World College of India, a group of 13 international colleges that aim to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. In 2006, Sania spent a year working with “Contacting the World”, a theater festival where she was representing India in Manchester, UK. Sania graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Founders Day Award and an hon ors degree in Film/TV and a minor in producing. She has worked with Focus Features, Behind the Burner, MTV/VH1, IOM Production Company, News12 in The Bronx and Indiepix, for shows and films like Behind the Music, Milk & Taking Woodstock. Additionally, she worked in production for three years at USA Studios.
WRITER
Tom Shipley is a copywriter based out of Chicago. He currently works at Quill.com, an online office supplier owned by Staples. In the past year he’s worked on a nation-wide awareness campaign and a rebrand of the company. A graduate of MarquetteUniversity’s School of Journalism in 1997, he used his first job out of school to buy a computer and a screenwriting program. He’s been writing screenplays ever since.A quarter-finalist and semi-finalist in screenplay competitions like BlueCat and FreshVoices, he won Hollywoodscript.com’s contest for his script There’s Something Right About Charlie and later won the Bronze Award in the comedy category of the 2011 Chicago Screenwriter’s Network. Mr. Shipley made his acting debut at the age of eight as a member of the wedding congregation in the film Sixteen Candles. It wasn’t the breakout performance he was hoping for and he’s still waiting for the phone to ring for his next role.
